The inclusion of wood gives Lignacite many useful properties and makes it an ideal material for nesting boxes, so much so that it has been used by 51% Studios in their Nestworks for the Urban Birds of Bankside project. When used in nest boxes this material is proven to fledge more young than any other and 50 have so far been placed in the Bankside area.
