Our annual Clay Pigeon Shoot may be over for another 12 months, but we’re delighted to share some of this year’s highlights with you.
The 2024 event saw us welcome 120 guests to The Old Hall in Stuntney over the two-day shoot. Five teams of six went head to head on Wednesday and Thursday, with each team made up of Lignacite team members, builders merchants and architects, all eager to showcase their shooting skills. The competition was intense, but the camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed by all participants made for a friendly event.
On Day One, the Hot Shots team emerged victorious, achieving an impressive score of 635 points. The Top Gun of the day was Sam Nunn from the Shooting Aces team, who managed to hit 74 out of 80 targets, a remarkable feat that set the bar high for the following day.
Day Two saw the High Fliers team take the top spot with a commendable score of 614 points. The day's Top Gun was Andrew Whitmore, who hit 73 out of 80 targets, falling just short of Sam Nunn’s impressive performance.
In addition to the competitive spirit, our guests demonstrated incredible generosity. Over the course of two days, nearly £1,000 was donated to the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.
The success of this year's Clay Pigeon Shoot is a testament to the enthusiasm and skill of all participants, as well as the community spirit that underpins our event. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part, and we look forward to welcoming you back next year for another round of friendly competition.
