Building on Lignacite’s environmental ethos

Lignacite are delighted to announce that they have just completed installing 921 solar photovoltaic panels on the roof of their factory at Brandon. The system will generate 5.375 million kW hours of clean electricity over it’s life and a peak output of 239.46kW. This will make the plant almost totally self sufficient in power over the next 25 years. It will also, over the next 25 years reduce their Carbon Footprint by 1916 tonnes, equivalent to the carbon produced by driving 7,902,180 miles. This combined with recycling all their water and reject blocks will ensure that Lignacite remains one of the most environmentally friendly producers in the market.
