Polished Oyster Facing Masonry from Lignacite Ltd has been used to achieve the spectacular appearance of the recently completed Hounslow East Station.
The Architects, Acanthus Lawrence & Wrightson, specified Lignacite's Polished Oyster for its robustness and vandal resistant qualities compared to brick, as well as its enhanced stone-like appearance.
The station's contemporary design is created by the contrast in textures of the polished blocks and the striking lines of the wooden panelled ceiling. Lignacite's range of polished masonry units can be used for interiors or exteriors in a traditional or modern design.
