Grand Design – Passivhaus

You may recently have seen this Stealth House being constructed on Grand Designs. Designed by its owner Helen Seymour-Smith, this has become the UK's first certified Passivhaus because of its highly insulated and airtight structure and the fact that this underground house is entirely made of concrete and expolits the benefits of its thermal mass. Lignacite's Ashlite (Waste Not Warrior) block was used on the internal partitions. This product is made up of 92% recycled material, giving it the highest proportion of any block on the market.
