CERTIFICATES & Declaration of performance

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an independently verified and registered document that communicates transparent and comparable information about the life-cycle environmental impact of products. It is a voluntary declaration of the life-cycle environmental impact. Having an EPD for a product does not imply that the declared product is necessarily environmentally superior to alternatives.

The relevant standards for Environmental Product Declarations are EN 14025 and EN 15804.

An EPD may be used for many different applications, including green public procurement (GPP) and building assessment schemes. All EPDs registered in the International EPD® System and free to use are publically available.

Through its membership of the Concrete Block Association, a generic EPC for aggregate concrete blocks has been developed, and is available for inspection by designers and other professionals. The EPD reference is EPD-BPC-20170092-CCD1-EN and can be downloaded from our web site. It can be used in environment assessments and provides a representative performance for aggregate concrete blocks including those supplied by Lignacite Ltd.
