  • The Glow in the Dark block, part of their Snowstorm Polished and Planished range, contains light emitting re-cycled glass in clear, blue, green or red.  The glass absorbs light energy during the day and then emits an ethereal luminescence at night. The Glow in the Dark block is capable of enhancing a wide variety of architectural or aesthetic features.

Glow in the Dark was a collaborative project involving DRMM Architects. The block was required for the Tower Festival Headland, co-named Tower of Love, a wedding venue, cafe and tourist information point on Blackpool's seafront.

The 'Glow in the Dark' block was developed using the Lignacite concrete block with recycled and phosphorescent glass. The block, after light absorption emits a subtle green light. An example of how this works can be seen in our Lignacite Video.
